Blessing of the Fleet today...
 

I have to gather up the fruits of my loins and go to the marina for the Blessing of the Fleet at noon on Lake St. Louis...the power boaters always outnumber the sailers so we are trying to get as many sailers and sailboats together as we can...should be interesting. I think the waterskiers look down on the poor, pitiful sailers...

We won best sailboat decorations...we did a pirate theme, and I rode on a friend's Hunter 235...they had classes for pontoons, sailboats, and runabouts. It was about 85, sunny with a light breeze, great conditions!

Cool sounds like fun! We do a Christmass parade here, only the die hards have their boats in the water. But they are usualy very nicely decorated with lights, and other stuff. Santa arrives on a boat and hands out presents to needy kids, its always a blast.

The topper was that one of the other club members knows I play with weird old cars has an O'Day 20 that he wants to trade for my VW Cabriolet...I may just do it...

I like O'Day's a lot, I have sailed a few. My good friend has an O'Day 40, well its really an O'Day in name only but its a sweet boat. The smaller ones are rather nice.
