anyone ever had Pleurisy?
Sheesh! It hurts!
http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/understanding-pleurisy-basics I had similar chest pains some 11 years ago, and ended up having an angioplasty at the age or 39! But this time I guess I'm lucky. It comes on similar to angina. Go out, start washing the car, in after a few minutes I'm sitting on the ground with sharp pain thru the chest. Scarey stuff. But after a couple seassions with the M.D., we decided it's not the 'ol ticker this time(knock on wood!)It's slow to heal, though. Going on 3 weeks. I'm on steroids, and have to keep a bottle of cold water nearby. A few big gulps helps ease the twinges, for some reason.

Hang in there, time heals all wounds... or is it wounds all heels?...I don't know, something like that.

My wife had it a few times...first incident prompted an ER visit and steroids. Chest pains felt like a heart attack coming on (as you experienced).
Don't remember what else was involved, as she deals with a multitude of issues. Thread hijack: Do women deal with more ailments and complications than men? Even my mom had far more issues and doctor visits than my dad.
