Some of the many uses of recycled motor oil . . .

Fuel for ocean going vessels, cleaned and refortified for re-use as motor oil, cracked down for lighter fluid.

All applications which would use virgin oil were recycled motor oil not available.

Oh and uh, let's try to keep it civil w/o profanity, what say.

burn it in a waste oil burner as fuel.

Use it in a turk burner to burn it off and heat water for stuff...

Add it to sawdust and form starter logs for that big pile of brush you need to get rid off

pour it all over your driveway so instead of being a bunch of oil spots its just one big oil spot (no one will notice anymore)

Perfect chainsaw bar oil.

Swabbed the wood deck of my utility trailer. Way cheaper, and better, than paint/sealer/wood preservative.

I think its an old trick to pour oil onto and into the stump of a recently chainsawed tree to prohibit growth if you cant pull the stump.

Naw. That's just to keep ya from having to take it to the recycling center.:D

Actually, I've seen mixed results with that. I tried it on some cottonwoods I cut down, and I think those stumps enjoyed the feast and came back to life even faster:eek:

must have been synthetic ;) .. My uncle taught me the trick or shared the knowledge. His friends F-350 Powerjoke wouldnt and couldnt budge the stump.. must have been attached to a boulder under ground(in CT)

And the best use of recycled oil is.....

Drum roll..............

Keep it in your fricken crankcase and use it for what it was designed for.....

but then it isnt recycled oil.. its just motor oil...

see to be recycled it has to come out and be put to use another way

Holy crap!
What an insight!:book:

The best use of something is for its intended purpose. Motor oil was designed to be in an engine. It wasn't designed for burning, or as a herbicide or rust preventer.

Put it in your engine, change the filter once a every 15kmiles, check the oil periodically and top off as needed.

No recycling required.

Have a NIce day.

Boil it and dump it on the heads of your enemies...medieval style.

Hatterasguy 06-03-2007 06:01 PM

Just dump it in the back yard.:D:eek:
