turned down... :(
Apple didnt take my application even though I was aval all day long every day of the week... Sadness..
Don is looking for a job that is slightly more interesting than his current position as Grocery/Bakery/Cashier/Bagger/Stock Clerk.. Yea.. I do all of that because once I get bored I move onto another dept. Grocery store working is not my thing.. its a total drag. I work 5-11 in the bakery .. all I do is clean stuff, sell donuts, stale out all of the expired stuff and wash some dishes.. for the meager pay of 7.45$.. I havent gotten a raise in almost.. a year now, got screwed on a bonus because I was like a few hours short of Publix's 1k hours or one year of service...Continuly get passed up for promotion (It took me 4 months just to become a cashier)... I say death to publix.. death to the company.. The high prices , I have to pay even to eat at the god forsaken place. No perks for working their.. just stock.. thats it. And a frign hat. They gave me a hat at the annual benefits meeting. I said. how does this benefit me. I dont have anything from the company.. So they gave me a hat. The hat was just incinerated in my fire pit because I hate it so.:headshot: |
stupid Apple, it's their loss.

There are always positions available in the human flesh trade...
|
I've considered but... Hunting down the candidates takes to long... oh wait.. no way man..
|
What sort of position was it at Apple? In Florida?
|
Sales.. Mac Specialist or something...
|
I agree with Publix -- one of the few things I dread about going to FL is that they have zero competition for food stores like here in NJ. I remember buying, I think it was a jar of peanut butter -- it was friggin unreal.
I *THINK* it has something to do with the way commercial real estate taxes have been there... but that's another topic. :D |
I'll trade ya.. I'm unemployed, $7/hr would be great. I applied to publix and about every other business around here and never even got a call back..
|
If you guys are unemployed or working for 7.45/hour it is your own fault. I met with a kid last week (not under the best of circumstances) who is 19 and waits tables (lunch only) at a local greek restaurant and makes $100-$150 a day during the week and made $250 on Sunday. Even in the south, you should be able to easily get a job on a framing crew for $15/hour. I got two college kids working for me running errands and pay them $10/hour and $.40/per mile. I pay a process server $35/ a pop to hand deliver papers.... get off the video games or whatever and go outside and get a job.

If you live down town go to King and Spaulding and apply to be a runner. |
thats where it is... resteraunts.. hmmmm

You have to be pleasantly aggressive when job hunting. If there is an opportunity to have face-time with someone in HR, take it. Just settling for being another application packet dropped on someone's desk won't cut it.

Like others have said, my only $0.02 is that you gotta keep at it, get dozens of applications out there. Try to submit them in person. Good luck! |
go for it.. sig it...
I'm just not the kind to be pleasently aggressive.. I guess I could give it a try, If you find me in jail because I shoved an application up someones nose,I failed |
