I figured out a while back that I have just about as much of everything that I need. It is a very satisfying thing to discover.
Not quite as much money as I need, but, then I have more junk than I can use. Not nearly enough family in the area,but, then I have more grass to mow than I need. I'm not quite as smart as I think I should be, but, then I am smarter than most people at work. |

It tastes the best on top of authentic Bauernbrot (Farmers bread) - I still have to try and replicate it - have to start a starter first. The official type of Soda used is Natron - apparently Natron is Soda with extra parts. Not sure if it makes a difference what type you use. Kochkäse can either be eaten with, or without Musik (Music) which essentially is sliced onions, some oil, and a dash of vinegar. Besides Quark, and Schichtkäse, it can also be made out of Handkäse (made from skim milk, somewhat translucent and a bit stinky, and it can have a little bite.) I ended up making my own quark to make the Kochkäse. |
