Anyway, just a quick appology to those I've crossed with the whole "Mercedes quality" thing. I honestly didn't mean to push any buttons. Was just trying to bounce some issues around. I really do still love Mercedes cars, and do plan on owning another(or several) sometime in the future, if/when the right car comes along at the right time.
Anyway, I'll probably be around here less, unless I see a thread I can make a positive contribution to.
I won't leave this posted forever. I'll delete it later.

Yeah, No problem man, don't leave. Just hang out, and talk shop. You probably don't need to delete this thread either. We are all entitled to our oppinions, and questions, etc. Aside from that, If you notice something related to quality, or lack there of, with these cars..., We want to know about it, and you to point it out. Especially a safety issue or something. These are our cars, and we care a lot for them, We also want to make sure we can make them the best they can be, and safe for our families to ride in also. A lot of us here, are very possibly "Jaded" by these cars, and even consequently, "Overlook" flaws as a result. If you think something is built poorly, or is flawed, just let us know...Please.

Have you noticed that not alot of us here have a 2001 or newer MB? Maybe even older than that.

Constructive criticism will help MB realize they need to make cars like they used to, you have every right to criticize, that includes Lexus as well, looks like in its goal of becoming numero uno, Toyota has been slipping up here and there. Their newer offerings are not up to the benchmarks they have set in the past. You have done no wrong.

My dad knows a cop who bought a 300SD just about new, maybe 2-3 years old. He only kept it for a year because it would never start in the winter, and the dealer couldn't figure it out. So after screwing with it for a year he got so fed up, he traded it in. The dealer gave him a good deal on a 300E to smooth it over and not lose him as a customer.

Even the old cars had a lot of problems, cars=problems.

As others have said, no need to apologize. Nothing wrong with sharing an opinion, even a negative one. You have never offended me.

I hope you'll stick around and keep offering your $0.02, no matter what side of the fence they fall on.

C'mon Rick, stick around. Maybe some are taking things too seriously. I for one could care less if my W220 is a POS. It's just a dang car...
