Unfortunate Baby Names

Pair told not to name son '4real'
WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) -- New Zealand authorities have blocked a couple's bid to officially name their new son "4real," saying numerals are not allowed. Pat and Sheena Wheaton said they decided to name their new baby "4real" shortly after having an ultrasound and being struck by the reality of his impending arrival.

My brother is convinced that his name - not especially well chosen by Mom - has led to his being who he is.

I wonder how Frank Zappa's four children: Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen feel about thier names.

Anybody have complaints about theirs?

My name is common in my mother's native country (named after one of her brothers who died of TB at 14)...but unusual here in the states.

My younger brother was given an American name, however.

Not ashamed of my name, but strangers and new aquaintances destroy it constantly...not to mention the numerous plaques, certificates, and trophies that had to get sent back for spelling corrections...

Kid I went to school with was named Uterus Eagle. Pronounced his first name You-Terrace. Nice guy. later became a beloved orderly in the community hospital. Died a few years ago and I heard a surprising number and quite an eclectic group of people showed-up for his wake and funeral.

Soooo...............what is it?

My sister in law named her son Leviathan. She said she wanted to call him Levi. So I said why didn't you just name him Levi? That would have been too easy. Poor kid.
A friend of mine named her daughter Antoinette because she wanted to call her Toni ??
That's not such a bad name though, not as bad a s Leviathan.

My aunt, a high school teacher in NC, once had two girls, twin sisters in her class. Their names were Regina (pronounced Ra-jee'-nah) and Vagina (pronounced Vah-jye'-nah). No, I did NOT make that up.

No kidding, Kuan. That's absolutely true.

"Hitler" would probably be a bad choice, as would "Sue" if your child is male.

In the course of my daily tasks at work, I just saw the name "Latrina." Somewhat unfortunate. There was a local kid named "Blueberry Pancake," and the two "Arthur" brothers, "King" and "Boo" (also from nearby).

My dad once had an employee whose last name was Cash. His father named him "Fourdollars," because that's all the money he had when the kid was born.

He should have learned to play a guitar and had a great career in country music instead of being a construction worker.
