Any Arrested Development fans?

My wife and I love(d) the show and have been watching the reruns on HDNet. I know there was some discussion about Showtime possibly picking up the rights but Fox didn't really want to release them even though the show was canned. It's been awhile since I've heard anything.

It was one of the few critically acclaimed shows that I've ever actually liked. It wasn't your basic sit-com, in-your-face humor. There was a lot of subtle humor and innuendo (sexual and otherwise) that maybe a lot of people missed.

Anyone heard anything?

I love the show, and I think it just gets funnier each time I see the episodes. From what I understand, Showtime was ready to make a deal but Michael Hurwitz, the creator, had decided he was out. Without Hurwitz there really isn't a show, so it never happened.

That's too bad. We've got our DVR set up to record it anytime it's on. There is a lot of stuff that may get missed the first time around that you catch on a re-run. It must have come down to money because I know that Hurwitz was interested if everything could be worked out. Bummer.

it was a great show, I watched it all the time. there was one episode that had me rolling on the floor when the sister and tobias were arguing and was about to call her a "see you next tuesday " when he saw their daughter coming down the stairs and at the last second lengthened the word to "country-lovin" or something like that. I'd love to find a clip of that somewhere if anyone knows where to get it. also nice to see a 420SEL in the show regularly too

Dooohh. I thought this was about the band back in early 90's. Loved the song "Tennessee".

Check out Clark and Michael, a web show produced by CBS with some of the cast in it. Its amateurish but funny and very charming.
