Testing: pic quality...adding a shopforum gallery soon...

Just tossing some pics out there to see how they will look when I put up my ShopForum gallery.

If the Texas weather can behave, I may actually get to take some pics in the SUN!

Actually, it's a Rainbow playset, and it was professionally constructed about a decade ago. Sadly, my daughter has pretty much outgrown it...

...I need to restain it, but the weather hasn't let up enough for a decent drying cycle.

Forget Centerville, I've found next year's location for the Texas MB GTG! You think it can hold 35 adults?

Pics of the VW to follow...although years of sitting outside took a tremendous toll on its appearance! I will have to RE-restore it!

I remember how much fun it was building a tree house and play ground stuff for my kids when they were little. It was a sad day when I dismantled it all.

Nice stable, BTW, G.

Nice rides, G! How about a pic of your poor Beetle pushed into the background?

...and there's more!

Trunk had been slightly open all these years, hence the accumulated "thatch" from the neighbor's mowing efforts. Had originally planned on making this a base for showcasing racks of amps, crossovers and capacitors if I got serious with the stereo competitions...marriage ended that kind of spending...

Prior to making this a show car, it was a daily driver with a "sleeper" motor. 1641cc oversized pistons, mild cam, counterweighted crank, titanium valves, Porsche valve springs, 10-lb 8-doweled flywheel, race clutch, and dual 34mm Weber carbs. The 4-pipe SS-header exhaust gave it a nasty NASCAR sounding idle (believe it or not)!

Once the car show fascination turned into an obsession, whatever could be replaced with a chrome alternative got the treatment.
