If I drive through a bad neighborhood, I make sure I have arms in the glove compartment!

The majority of drivers killed in the mideast are rumored to be unarmed.

Maybe the question should be, "Should you drive with no arms?"

Folks, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but sometimes there are sacrafices that have to be made. Quite often in the area of motor vehicle control, if you haven't got the equipment (arms, legs, both eyes) required, in the interests of everyones safety, perhaps you need to find another option.

I know that in our feel good generation it makes a nice news story to see someone overcome adversity, but tomorrows news of an accident that was caused by someone not being quite able to control their vehicle as well they should have, sort of counteracts the good news. And that's providing that no one was harmed through no fault of their own. I'd sure hate to be injured as I stood idly by as someone "differently abled" lost control or wasn't able to react quickly enough.

Clearly, you haven't observed the average $hitbox driver with two arms and two legs with the clear inability to control the speed or the direction of the vehicle.

I'll bet that this woman is a much safer driver than the typical DB on the road today with their cell phone attached to their ear and the vehicle careening along at 80 mph with about a 20' following distance.

I recently saw...

on one of the morning news show a report about another lady with no arms who was refused service at a local fast food place (Wendy's, I believe) when she went thru the drive-thru. It had to deal with the restaurant and their sanitary guidelines and taking the money from her feet as opposed to someone's hand. Really stupid if you ask me. They even refused when she told her child to hand the money to the cashier.

sounds like a lawsuit to me....
