Ya know, I have two customers who paid me to thoroughly refresh Corrado VR6s. One of them cited this clip as his reason for the purchase.

About $3000 each went into refreshing the cooling system, brakes, A/C, and minor fiddly bits. Both cars still are awaiting repainting and interior work, but for well under $10k, these guys have a formidable piece of machinery: A Corrado with new bushings, Bilsteins, and Wilwood brakes is ferocious. It's amazing to think it's FWD- it goes exactly where pointed with the slightest of input.

The MB Cosworth is something else, too! I've never driven one, and in America we only got the lesser 2.3-16 version, but I've seen a few available for sale around here, and I get easily tempted. One was clean and complete but missing the all-important 16v head- asking $1000! Thought about building a basement hot rod and sticking an M104 E320 mill in there- that would probably move better than the Cossie but it's debatable what the six would do for the weight bias.

Nice clip, thanks for posting it...

Sure, no prob. I test drove a Corrado VR6 when they came out. Neat car, but pricey. A few yrs later I noticed that owner's were grumbling about cost of owership and lack of resale.

For some reason my Firefox browser shuts down a few mins into the Cosworth bit. Not happy with how it works with this Mac, rarely gave me Windows trouble. Odd...

What about the 99-02' E55?
Any potential future classic possibilities or were there just too many of these made?
