Aside from the concept being risibly inept it does have a certain pedestrian jeau d'esprit....though likely not as much as in Washington..........

Jeau d'esprit? jeau d'esprit! The highly deductive methodology employeed in this stupendous perlustration is no trifleing piddly. It's a drunken mockery of all that is ill at ease with the state of man.

Ahhh,Camus,Sartre...whither art thou? All you have cited cannot be cavalierly dismissed without bidding fair to obfuscate and render null all useless human achievement from Aeschylus to Capote......

It sits, plain in square, seeable, "Three hundred miles and more from Chimborazo"...
"And amidst the little population of that now isolated and
forgotten valley the disease ran its course. The old became
groping, the young saw but dimly, and the children that were born
to them never saw at all. But life was very easy in that
snow-rimmed basin, lost to all the world, with neither thorns nor
briers, with no evil insects nor any beasts save the gentle breed
of llamas they had lugged and thrust and followed up the beds of
the shrunken rivers in the gorges up which they had come. The
seeing had become purblind so gradually that they scarcely noticed
their loss. They guided the sightless youngsters hither and
thither until they knew the whole valley marvellously, and when at
last sight died out among them the race lived on. ..."

I couldn't find the button to select "Silly". Does that make me dumb, or stupid?

what a loaded question

Dumb - lacking intelligence or good judgment; stupid; dull-witted.

Stupid - tediously dull, esp. due to lack of meaning or sense; inane; pointless:

I always told my kids they were allowed to make the dumb mistakes, but not the stupid ones. I defined the dumb mistakes as the little bits of education we pick up in our lives. The things we do that only embarass us, cost us not too much cash, the small scrapes that band-aids or a sling can help heal. Stupid mistakes are the ones with a large potential to get you dead. Sitting around with friends and drinking till you puke is generally only a dumb mistake. Drinking a similar amount and then getting behind the wheel is the stupid version. I try to impress on them they should at least think which class a questionable act would probably fall into. What (how bad) are the potential results? So far, all three have maintained both life and limb.

This is about as ethereal as I can get:

I never wanted to do this in the first place!
I... I wanted to be...

A LUMBERJACK!

(piano vamp)

Leaping from tree to tree! As they float down the mighty rivers of
British Columbia! With my best girl by my side!
The Larch!
The Pine!
The Giant Redwood tree!
The Sequoia!
The Little Whopping Rule Tree!
We'd sing! Sing! Sing!

Oh, I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay,
I sleep all night and I work all day.

CHORUS: He's a lumberjack, and he's okay,
He sleeps all night and he works all day.

I cut down trees, I eat my lunch,
I go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
And have buttered scones for tea.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch,
He goes to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays he goes shoppin'
And has buttered scones for tea.

CHORUS

I cut down trees, I skip and jump,
I like to press wild flowers.
I put on women's clothing,
And hang around in bars.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps,
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing
And hangs around.... In bars???????

CHORUS

I chop down trees, I wear high heels,
Suspenders and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie
Just like my dear papa.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he wears high heels
Suspenders and a .... a Bra????
(mounties break off song, and begin insulting lumberjack)

Girl: (crying) I thought you were so rugged!

It's neither. With the back and forth bantering of Carleton and Smarty- it's quit delightful.
