1280x1024 at 75Hz on my SONY Trinitron 21" CRT monitor, 1156x864 at 75Hz on my NEC 17" CRT monitor, I don't use LCD, CRTs give me the best result.

I've an old 21" monitor that really likes 1152 x 864 at 85 Hz for some reason.
I'd like a new monitor soon since this one's black color looks too green, especially if it hasn't warmed up.

My laptop is a 15.4" screen. I had intended to get a 17" screen, but once I saw how long it took to move the mouse across it using the mouse pad, I decided it was just too big.

I'm blind. I have to use 800 x 600 on a 17" monitor.
I really need to get a 21" so that I can go to 1024 x 768. Can somebody tell me how they can actually see a 1600 x 1200 resolution? Is the monitor 30????
