It should be the same as any other child molestor. I used to work as a psych tech with abused children, including a few kids about that age that were abused by an older woman. some of them, it wasn't that big of a deal to them...but some of them were seriously screwed up by it.

Thats the problem, some kids are still very much kids at that age...it's why we have laws in the first place.

Male or female, perversity has no gender, and now with level field coming into play, more and more cases are surfacing, this thing has always existed in society but hidden, now its more blatant in the open, I feel its the same mindset that makes a man rape or have sex with a minor that prevails in the woman, if you look at her photo, she is not unattractive so you wonder what made her do this.

Some folks are just wired up wrong.

But I think often it is a person who was abused as a child that later does it to kids.

Where young men and older women are concerned, sex between them can be ok. Not always, but in some cases.

When I was 13 or 14, had the right older woman come along, it would have been between us, and happily.

The trauma occurs when the story gets out and the young man has to pretend that he was abused. Don't tell me that doesn't happen.

Very true, Ted Bundy was a prime example of an abused and traumatic childhood leaving him with a bitter taste about women in general.

Then I guess the same thing should apply in case of a 13 year old girl having sex with a 22 year old man. Guess not, then there will be no boundaries left for age of consent or where we draw the line between a child and an adult. For a 22 year old man or a woman, picking up an impressionable female or male child is easy, not much effort needed there, but is it ethical in any sense, guess not.

The sexes are not equal. Older men acting aggressively toward underaged women is wrong. Consider this: Can a 14 year old man rape a 30 year old woman? Yes. Can a 30 year old woman rape a 14 year old man? Considering both cases who gets the longer prison sentence?

A lot of this discussion comes from society trying like hell to make the sexes equal. Again, they are not. Biology makes that impossible.

This is true. They each have their strengths and weaknesses, and should be treated and respected accordingly.

When an older woman takes advantage of a boy, I have a tough time calling it 'rape'. Though it's certainly shameful and inappropriate. If the sexes are reversed, it's a much more serious and punishable matter, to me.

Yes. a couple of patients I worked with, male kids who were raped by adult women that come to mind. One by threat of violence, and another she actually held a gun to his head the entire time. That one went on to molest a child himself...IIRC he was around 15 at the time. He was a seriously screwed up kid, and not because someone told him he was abused.

Usually these kids are pretty screwed up long before anyone even knows they were abused...not because "The trauma occurs when the story gets out and the young man has to pretend that he was abused."
There are exceptions, of course. YMMV.

Many of the sexually abused kids I worked with were checked into a hospital because they were having severe problems...suicide attempts and that sort of thing...and then we would find out what happened.

I really don't miss that job.
