Java update
Got home tonight to find that little pop-up window telling me a new version of Java is available. I figured what the heck, I'll take the time to install that now. So there I am reading the terms of service (just like everyone else does before clicking accept, right?) when I notice this:
You acknowledge that Licensed Software is not designed or intended for use in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of any nuclear facility. I thought I'd post it here as a bit of a heads up for anyone who might get the same Java update window. I know this is a group with many, many, interests, and who knows what all you guys do in your free time. This way no one has to worry about running afoul of Java's terms of service, at least, not without being forwarned... MV |
IIRC, you also can't use java for any medical instruments.

I am planning to down load the de-caf version, myself.

So much for that Fermi pile I had planned for the backyard.
