Exclamation Define "good"

My 1.5 year-old Siberian female, Tatiana, has calmed down from her wild kitten phase. She's always been good-natured and enjoys human company, but for a good part of her first year she flew around the apartment as if on crack, tested her claws on my couch (despite having her own scratching post), etc. She still likes to open cabinets and crawl inside, though.

My 10-year-old part Persian, Oreo, is very good, with certain reservations. See here: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=178418&highlight=princess+piddlepuss

Aside from that, she's calm and placid, and objects hardly at all to claw-clipping.

Which one of the 7 do you want pictures of? Short biographies of the feline portion of the zoo that came with my wife when she joined me in Kalyfornia:

Wiggle - she's crazy. Sweet, but crazy. PO dropped her off at Rescue claiming "she broke her leg while we were on vacation." 11 year old kid running around screaming at the other cats in the shelter had NOTHING to do with it, honest. Adopted with pins sticking out of her leg, walks with a - yep, wiggle.

Cali - fiercely lovable Hemingway calico (six toes on each front foot). Sure the non-human world is out to eat her, but the most pettable snuggly cat ever.

Mama - formally feral cat, Shadow Mama (all black) wandered close enough to the house to be fed when she got too fat to hunt. Weighed all of six pounds 1 week before giving birth to the four critters listed below, plus one brother who moved to Connecticut.

Bear - 25 pounds of pure black love. Zen in a fur suit, Bear truly believes that all things animate or inanimate exist for one (or both) of two reasons: to love Bear or to feed Bear. Purrs pretty much 24/7. As a side note, Jack (the insane border collie mix), believes that Bear is his personal pet dog.

Trog - Also almost all black, would be huge if not for the presence of Bear (Trog weighs in around 18 pounds). Most vocal kitty in the herd, Trog flips between "love me love me love me" and "I am superior, of course."

Runty - was once actually the runt, now just slightly smaller than Bear. Runty is the primary reason Cali is convinced that four leggers are out to eat her. With her impressive girth, dark brown/black mottling, and general "I'm a cat so there" attitude, Runty does an amazing harbor seal impersonation laying on her back pretty much every afternoon.

Ghost - Siamese looking gray-white little bitty thing. The fact that Ghost and Bear came forth from Mama in the same batch o'kitties lends credence to the notion that there may well have been two daddies involved (thinking Siamese and Maine Coon )

We've got four at home (Simba, Molly, Maisy and Annie) that my wife rescued and that I'm generally tired of cleaning up after and feeding.

We have 2 "barn cats" here at work that do an excellent job of keeping the mouse population at bay. We pay our receptionist to feed them and clean their litter boxes (at her request) so I enjoy them a lot more.

I used to love pets before I ended up with a household full (at one time-5 cats, 2 dogs, 2 parakeets, a cockatiel, a fish tank, 3 hamsters, I think that's it-attrition has taken its toll on a cat, the birds and the hamsters) on top of the kids in a 1300 sq.ft. bungalow. Now I'm pretty indifferent. Somehow I always end up doing the unpleasant duties while the rest of the family just enjoys them. I'm looking forward to the 1 dog & couple of cat days again.

I have my beloved, late MIL to thank for my zoo since my wife wasn't allowed to have pets as a kid. Her mom told her she could have a zoo if she wanted, once she moved out. And she did.
