I can't quite link up the analogy to hitler, after all it said American Idiots in the video title.

It seems a bit unfair to me, calling them idiots. At least some had their history stuff together and appeared to be pretty decent Americans.

I've said it before........and there are more than enough examples to draw a firm conclusion:

The average person is a moron.

So, for all you conservatives that believe these people can manage their own financial and personal affairs properly without government regulation to keep them somewhat afloat and breathing............videos like this one should give you a reality check.

I've got plenty of examples that make the video seem benign.

I can do very well on my own.

I've lived in the belly of the beat (governmental bureacracies) and I know what they can "do" for us.

As for the morons who can't manage their own affairs I have two words: "Social Darwinism."

Tax me to build roads, bridges that don't collapse, an air traffic control system that works and a military that is strong and ready. As for the rest of social programs, f**k 'em.

In fact, I am willing to go one further: abolish that form of middle class welfare called the "home mortgage deduction" but let me keep me more of my money. I can deal with that.

As for Hattie's statement about the rise of Hitler, the reference is to an uneducated populace being easy prey for dictators like Hitler.

Problem with that analogy Hattie is that in pre-WWII Germany there was a large, strong and well-educated middle class. Hitler rose to power largely with the support of the middle class.

In Cuba, Castro rose to power on the shoulders of the middle class. The poor may have provided him with cannon fodder. It was the middle class, however, that supported, fed, armed and financed him.

Hattie, we will always have the dumb, uneducated masses with us. Hopefully they don't vote.

Anyway Brian you miss the point. The people who can not take care of themselves, will be left to rot and remove themselves from society. I don't care about the ones that can't figure it out for themselves. Every once in awhile you need to prune a bush.
