The Swede 08-15-2007 10:22 PM

Not bad. No bridges fell.

Hatterasguy 08-15-2007 10:23 PM

Hot and humid, lazy and slow; typical summer doldrums.

*** "Raindrops keep fallin' on my head..." ***

Monday night, drove through the worst rain/lightning storm I've ever been in...wipers were on "HIGH" but didn't do any good...twice I had to stop and pull over into someone's driveway...10' in front of the car was the best I could do to make out what was there...

Then today, spent all morning and part of the afternoon removing over +200 gallons of DOWTHERM SR-1 Glycol/Distilled Water (50/50) mixture, then flushing the system, twice...then mixed in 60 gallons of SR-1 (straight) and another 60 gallons of distilled water...no leaks and I'm sick of the "sweet" smell of glycol...I've got "water wrinkles" on top of my "water wrinkles" - I may dry out by Friday, if it doesn't rain any more this week! :D

Turn Signal Use Index: 0.000003% chance
LAPD Police Chase: 20% chance
Britney Skankometer: High
Lohan Wasted Index: Very High
OJ Kill Index: 2

Howdy All,
Smoke from the Santa Barbara fire which started 7-4-07 keeps rolling through, and we are 150 miles from it. Temps between 105° and 110° which isn't too bad, but the humidity is a little rough. This is the desert and it is supposed to be a dry heat.

Hangnail. It was bad. Real bad.

We have a burn ban in effect......I guess thats the good part about the midwest.

Its very dry here. The farmers are saying it is too late for a good corn crop.

My entire woods is drooping.

Yesterday was beautifully cool. fifty nine in the morning, and a lovely evening to sit on the deck.

All of my grandkids and kids are in town to check out the new twins so it is pretty cool here that way too.

Lots of rain this weekend and took an awesome nap Saturday afternoon!!

The old diesel has an issue--- runs on after the car is turned off. Check vacuum lines, more than likely a bad vacuum pump. Luckily it has a Mercedes shop book. :wacky:

Of course the shop manual doesn't cover the vacuum pump. Just about everything else though!

It is raining really well here now.

I hope it is not too late for the corn crop.
