Yes, but it is filtered. Still a scam... basically you pay lots of cash to drink water run through a giant Brita.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people.

The drinking water in my part of Northern Virginia (both well and city water) is nasty enough that I don't mind paying for a bottle of filtered tap water.

We were in New York recently. Their tap water is great, much better than around here.

I would rather have home RO filtered water than stored bottle water which I have to pay a premium and is being peddled off as some sort of exotic water, years back ABC did a investigation and found that the so-called mineral and spring waters being imported from Europe had higher levels of bacteria than regular US tap water and in a blind taste test, all of them found the tap water to have the same taste if not better.

It's all a scam, all of a piece with cellphones, those risible bluetooth earpieces,SUV's and all the uselessly opulent appurtenances the insecure sheeple feel they need for validation.

My Gramps,Lord bless him,had his domestic water distilled before it was pumped into the elevated storage tank.

I still boil my tapwater, let it cool, refrigerate it then drink it.

Now... by boiling your tap water -- aren't you increasing the ratio of contaminants?

I wont drink the water at work.

Tastes like schlitz without the alcohol.

My prefered swill is distilled 69 cent/ gallon jugs.

The tap water at home is pretty good though.

I don't buy the stuff. Is it true that bottled water has expiration dates?

Correct me if I am wrong but I was under the impression that distilled water is supposed to take away the essential minerals that are required by our body.

I've heard glacial melt is great for you because it's full of minerals...

Guess you need to get minerals from somewhere but I think waters vary a lot in how well they provide them.

Ever eat fresh salad greens, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and such daily?grown in your own garden? I do.

Besides,we have us an artesian well with decent water, used mainly for the garden but I show no signs of mineral depletion since the aforementioned distilled water is generally mixed with Scotch

You evil fellow!

In 1995 I participated in the Land's End to John'O Groats rally in my Vauxhall and the tour included many breweries and distilleries, among the one mentioned.

All I can say is we all had a "high time" in the highlands and the local constabulary was, shall we say,lenient......

And did you enjoy a shot of few of Laphroaig, they also serve a fantastic smoked salmon, the salmon is smoked from the disposed casks of Laphroaig, its a little piece of heaven there allright.

Btw: Have you tried Bushmills Irish whiskey, another very unsung but super smooth blend is Cutty Sark, all these three are regular in my bar.

Like the London to Brighton run I did in '03 it was an unforgettable experience.

Nothing in this life,{short of sex}gives me as much pleasure as driving and maintaining early pre-29 sportscars.{well, maybe whisky}...
