My god, your boyfriend is a lucky guy if he rates right up there with your cat! Coming in second behind life itself and on a par with Anastasia must be quite an honor!

Dee8go 08-20-2007 03:44 PM

Have you looked into Pellas?

A264172 08-20-2007 06:30 PM

That a wide open canopy will draw gliders up off the jungle floor.

That a hard days labor can leave an impact on all who partake of it.

And that good company can lead to good results.

As long as you're not looking into your neighbors' Pellas.

sources of happiness

First the drugs: Vicodin, Cymbalta, Neurontin, Clonazapam, and the 420.

My job. I love my job, and I have a huge crush on my boss and he knows it, and he really actually enjoys it and encourages me at times. It's almost surreal. He calls me Billicious, and everytime he comes in the office he walks over to my desk, gives me a hug and whispers for me to grab his butt. What do yall think of this?

My family, meaning my sister, my niece, and my brother-in-law. They are very dear to me.

Finally, my new doggie, Jane Doe. She was a stray that was abandoned at a pipeyard and one of my customers saw her after a car hit her and broke her front leg. She went to the vet and got a cast and then I went and picked her up and adopted her. Last Thursday night she chewed her cast off. I took her to the vet and he said she must have known it was already healed, because she is just fine now and I can take her outside without worrying about getting her cast wet. She is super sweet and gentle and HOUSE TRAINED. I don't know how anyone could abandon a dog like her.

PS one last source of happiness, Gamunex. I take 75g of it IV every two weeks. I have been doing this for over a year to stop the CIDP from damaging my nerves, and the stuff is FINALLY starting to work. I can walk around the office without a walking device now. I sometimes swerve, but have not fallen in a long time. Wonderful.

truckinik 08-20-2007 07:47 PM

I have no source of happiness anymore. She passed on a long time ago. I am not at all a happy person...

Well, i guess I can't really say I have NONE at all.

Josey Leigh, my seven pound Miniature Dacshund, makes me very happy, and brings my spirits up whenever I think of her, or see her.So I suppose, that's the answer you were looking for..

Angel 08-20-2007 07:56 PM

My Wife and Son - I keep pictures of them on me (not my car, or house, or motorcycle...)

But other than that- hanging with friends who are in a good mood, playing games at Dave and Buster's, go-karts, seeing a project go well....

Happiness is...

Thinking about when I was stationed in Italy (Pisa) and I used to go swimming at night in the Mediterranean w/o my clothes. I plan on working overseas and going back to the same spot a least a few more times, bella vita:cool: Not to mention the seeing the beautiful art again in Firenze, and the women plus all the cappucino's and the women.;)

aklim 08-20-2007 08:56 PM

Wife, dogs, toys

The Swede 08-20-2007 09:10 PM

Good health, family and friends. Sure, some material things make me happy like a decent income, fun cars etc. However, those things are beginning to matter less.

Happiness is living life 100% moment by moment, don't worry about the future or past. Just deal with things as they come up --- happiness is a creation of our mind, not Reality - but it is part of Reality. Happiness (or whatever emotion) is the movie playing out from our mind and Reality is like the white screen behind it.

t walgamuth 08-20-2007 09:17 PM

Family first but having productive work to do is very important to me too.

And cars to tinker with.

So sorry for your loss. Your sorrow won't go away, but it will hurt less over time.

Dogs, undeniably mans best friend and companion.

Whenever I hear about that Vick dude and what he did to those dogs, I want to torture that SOB with a slow and agonizing death. That would make me happy, justice served.

Hatterasguy 08-20-2007 09:27 PM

Being alive, and the people around me.

But when it comes down to it, my first love, the water.

I love that song, one of my fav's!

When she gets in the way of my boating and fishing, things may very well change;)

She gave up her teaching aspirations to be a stay-at-home mom, didn't complain when I brought home a rot-ridden Scout on a trailer, bought my TD or even when I bought our boat as a project which, as a trade-in, was left uncovered for 2-3 years, cabin sole full of water, sunfaded and complete free of good upholstery and then put up with me (and it) for 2-3 years as I rebuilt, repainted and reupholstered it. So far, she's a keeper :D

jlomon 08-21-2007 09:59 AM

My kid, definitely. The simplest things with him can bring me more happiness than I thought possible.

Concentrate more on number one and less on the other three. That works for me.

A great girl friend beats the hell out of number four for sure!

G-Benz 08-21-2007 12:37 PM

1. My family (and their being blessed with good health)
2. Financial stability (still working on that one)
3. My own health (again...still working on that as well)
4. Everything in good repair...doesn't have to be new...just not broken.

If I had those four in check, I could walk around stepping in rain puddles wearing shoes with holes in them and still whistle a happy tune!
