Hey Guys!

I just thought i would share my excitement- After 4 years with Volvo Cars, and 3 months of talking with Mercedes Benz of Manhattan, I GOT MY DREAM JOB!!!! I cannot wait to work for the greatest car company in the world!!!! I'll keep you guys posted as I grow with the company!!!! We are like a big family here on MercedesShop!!! Let me know if anyone is ever in the market for new or Certified pre-owned!

That is cool. Now you are working for the company store. IIRC it is still the only dealership in the US owned by MBUSA. I have a buddy that was a tech there for twenty years. Now he is a service writer at Country motors in Southampton. I think you guys will even have a couple of McLarens to service. My buddy Ray says that one comes into Southampton but they are not trained to service it so they just drool. I know diplomats used to be able to bring in grey market cars and lots of them drove Mercedes. Maybe you will service some grey market cars too.

Yes, it is the only FACTORY owned Mercedes Benz retailer in the country! THUS, i am a FACTORY employee!!! Woo hoo, go me- Just kidding!!! Yeah, there are SLR's and Maybachs to eat your heart out- And not to mention, the racks of older Benz's in for service in pristine condition!!!! The place is amazing, and the atmosphere is UberFriendly!!!!

Congratulations. Remember, if you see a new part that fails on a new car all the time and cost a fortune to replace or leaves cars stranded, deny it when the customer asks you if it's is a common failure. Deny, deny, deny. You will do just fine if you follow this mantra.

I gotta say, i am looking forward to the inside scoop on the whole place. For years we have all benn on the outside of what the real dael was at Benz. From what i can tell you, the place is run like a clock. You could eat off the floors and their certified pre-owned cars looked like new, better than new almost! A lot is being done to change the damage the past few years has done on the brand... Only time will tell!!!!

I love hearing when people are ecstatic about a new job.
We’ve flown a few clients up that way in the past, just to buy from them.
Yep – The place is pretty spotless.
Hats off to you for “getting in”.

When you run into Joe Horneman, tell him “Tow-Bat” from TOS says “Howdy”.
May take him a second……..but he’ll figure it out.

I will be in the Business Development Center. We are the first point of the sale and retain all lease-retention portfolios. It took nearly 5 months to get this position- It is not easy getting into Mercedes. I must say, I am relieved to be getting away from the Ford Headaches at Volvo!!!!

Has anyone seen the Mercedes Certified Pre-Owned Sale commercial with the little kid driving the SL pedal car? That was soooo me at 4 years old! I fell in love with the silver star when i was born....

I work in across the street from their Park Avenue location. They seem to have plenty of business.

Like you, drove my first Benz as a kid - my grandfather's 280s down the hill and into my babysitter's Honda - I was 8.
