Mortgage question FHA vs Conventional
Question for the real estate experts here. We are shopping for our first home. My agent states most sellers will not accept a buyer with a FHA mortgage. We got a good rate with a FHA from Wells Fargo but cannot match the rate with a conventional mortgage. Is my agent telling the truth?

Your agent is full of BS. FHA used to be a PIA but its not much different than conventional, if not easier in many cases. Brokers say no to FHA simply because they don't have the ability to do FHA loans. Find a new agent and secure the best financing for yourself, or ask your agent to make the payment difference. Gawd, stupid comments like that made me mad. Last edited by Medmech; 09-08-2007 at 01:40 PM. |

The agent doesn't know what they are talking about.

I don't know about your state laws but your agent did break a law in Michigan, the only conversation I would be having with him/her is good bye.
