Actually, I could have gotten a 63" Philips for around the same price, but I wanted the LG. My HD projector throws a 100" screen for when the serious game is on.

Powerpig, you a retired millionaire or something? 100" TVs, stable full of killer cars...

Nice setup. A plasma/LCD is on my wishlist but my wife thinks the money would be better spent on a new bay window.

So...can I come over to watch the next game after I have finished installing the new bay window?

No millions here. Kids are grown, no debt except mortgage and a penchant for finding good deals. You`re welcome anytime for the game!

Are you using any outboard scalers, de-interlacing or converters?

I have a home theater pc I built that has some software scalers and other toys in it. I haven`t had time to hook it up since the move though. I also just picked up a Buffalo link station with DVD player that streams media from any pc in the house and upscales it to HD. We watched Ice Age II Sat. night and the picture was amazing! Oh yea, my 50" Philips with Ambilight is now for sale.

Yes, it will scale to 1080P. Now to convince the networks to broadcast it that format. Most have adopted 720P. Never in my 20 years in radio and TV did I think I would see the advancements we have made in the past 5 years!

Currently DirecTV, but I'm going to Verizon Fios when it becomes available in my area.

Lucky son of a gun. I've got a good 8 years left with 4 in the house and 17 until they're all out (and they will be out!). That's a long time with a 5" B&W with rabbit ears.
