Nothing surprising there. Columbia is the university the kicked off the ROTC program because the of the militaries don't ask don't tell policy towards gays. Yet the same university invited Iran's Ahmadinejad to speak. Incidentally Ahmadinejad's government recently executed two teenagers for being gay.
