Hey, Randy, is a "performance auditor" anything like a performance artist?

Hmmm, no.

Admittedly a prejudiced view but, IMHO public sector performance auditing is the single best thing that has ever happened regarding government accountability.

I just bought 550 rounds of Remington 22 LG. at Walmart for under $10 the other day. Can't beat the price!

We shoot lots of that. Excellent for plinking but the accuracy of bulk .22 ammo leaves a lot to be desired. For grins, a long time ago I ran 25rds each of Remington bulk (550/$10), Federal Gold Cup Match, Eley Silhouette, Eley Subsonic and Eley Target through my CM-2 match rifle.

In general, the results with peep sights, bench rest at 50 yds were:
Remington bulk - all shots within an ~18" circle
Federal Gold Cup Match all shots within an ~1.75" circle
Eley Silhouette - all shots within an ~1" circle
Eley Subsonic - all shots within an ~1.5" circle
Eley Target - all shots within an ~.5" circle

Yeah, I shoot Federal in my .22 Anschutz at the range. The bulk Remington is delegated for my cheap American Arms P98 for shootin cans and bottles in the woods. I'll have to try Eley some time, I like a tight group.

That Eley might have been Tenex...it's been a while. No matter, the CM-2 loves all the Eley I've shot through it.

It is all about funding private wealth with public debt. If you doubt this, you are what they think you are.

Hey Dee8go, as someone who is heading to DC to join DHS I take offense at that remark (wait until I am actually there before calling it the Dept of Homeland Stupidity) Has anybody seen the video? I would not put it past the AP getting it wrong. Just giving my new employer the benefit of the doubt.

Looks like your theory of incompatent news folks was probably right.

US improperly releases threat details By TED BRIDIS and EILEEN SULLIVAN, Associated Press Writers
Thu Sep 27, 5:45 PM ET

WASHINGTON - The Homeland Security Department improperly disclosed details about a serious threat to the U.S. electrical grid to industry researchers just days after it produced a video showing simulated hackers remotely seizing control over a $1 million diesel-electric generator.

The equipment self-destructed in a cloud of smoke and flying parts.
That last bit reminds of the near miss that I almost experienced when the throttle got stuck on my old 300D.

The people who produced the video are probably not the brightest bunch..........so speaking to a bunch of morons would be perfect for them.

BTW.........went to Wal-Mart tonight. Needed to give my ID to buy spray paint.

Why?

To make sure that I'm over 18.

"So, don't I appear to be over 18"

"Doesn't matter.........we have to check........."

"What if someone who is 80 years old buys spray paint?"

"Doesn't matter...........we have to check........."

...........now who's retarded.........???

Any 80-year-old tagger.

JFTC. Our tax dollars hard at work. I'm Voting for Molly in the next election.

If a generator that small is filling the grid, we are in trouble. I see engines that size on drilling rigs.

If Molly decides to be in charge, an election will be well, um, unnecessary.
