If you're going there for sex, chances are you'll get VD or AIDS.

I've been to SE Asia, the sex trade is pathetic and sad. Better of finding an Asian woman (if that's your thing) here and getting laid, save money on airfare.

If you want to visit Thailand, visit a city like Chang Mai or checkout some of the islands.

Went to Thailand in 01 to visit our son. The culture shock was pretty intense, but the value of the dollar was close to unbelievable. Visited an island off the coast and Pattya, with their "Walking Street". While we were there I got an education on what to look out for. My daughter in law pointed out a particuarly good looking "lady" who was hanging around. "Thats a guy" said Misty. "How do you know that", I asked. "Look at her feet", They were about a size 9 or 10, which denotes a guy in a gals body who preys on unsuspecting tourists for an evening and gives them a big surprise at the end of the night. Jewelry was very reasonable, and they have some of the hottest spices I have ever eaten. One of the scariest/fun things I did was to take a go kart for a few laps. Those things were one of the fastest things I have ever driven, but the cobby welds on the front end, kept me from finding their true potential. And if you drove it into the lake in the infield, it would cost you an extra $4 to dry it out. If you have never seen a King Cobra,,, they roam wild in Thailand. You never want to meet up with one. Cruising the canals of Bangkok, we came across a canal vendor selling snacks and beer. We bought a few beers for our party and the driver of the boat we were on was very happy to join us in having a beer or two. That was quite a trip.

I've been to Bangkok and ****et. Thailand is great. The food is a bit spicy (and I like spicy food). There are day/few days trips you can take. ****et is kind of a beach resort island. People are very friendly.

Plenty of red light areas. Men, women, transvestites are easily available. Cheap too. Get the good stuff and you lessen your chances of something you won't want.

I LOVE the food. I eat Thai at least 3 times a week and plan trips to accommodate my Thai addiction.

Kids too, makes me puke. I was in this particular Phon Pen bar and these girls that looked to be about 14 kept bugging me. My wife informed me that many are "shipped" in from Thailand or the Philippines. I could only tolerate it for a few mins, so sickening.

Thai food is amazing, though I always wonder what it actually is like in Thailand, just like Chinese food you get from a restaurant here isn't at all like the food you'd get in China.

I really like a good pad thai though. My favorite place I think puts a bit of honey in it, tastes amazing.
