100% agree. Who cares what psych issues they are going thru? We asked them and they went. If they need something, give it to them. Whatever we have left, let the other homeless fight over the scraps.

Suicide Epidemic Among Veterans

But a five-month CBS News investigation discovered data that shows a startling rate of suicide, what some call a hidden epidemic, Chief Investigative Reporter Armen Keteyian reports exclusively.

Even more saddening.

VA Struggles With Vets' Mental Health

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/11/14/cbsnews_investigates/main3503362.shtml

That's after our CBS News investigation revealed that, in 2005 alone, 120 of those who have served in the military took their own lives every week - more than double the suicide rate for those who haven't served.

coming home after a war, and trying to get on with your life is a very difficult thing. Unfortunately some cannot adjust. It also happened in my father's generation (WWII). Not all casualtys of war occur on the battlefield, some happen years afterwards. For all that, most vets are able to cope with what they went through and are above average performers in society.

Very sad indeed and the society owes them all effort to help them out in every which way possible.
