Multiplication is arithmetic.

Arithmetic is to mathematics as spelling is to literature.

Cool. One of it's neatest features is that an important lesson is taught without the use of any words.

I'm taking a Vedic Math class next semester at our local CC, thanks to the heads up from Kuan in a previous thread.

What is "Vedic" anyhow? It sounds like a religious term from the Hindu religion or something.

I just watched the video and it is pretty amazing, but seems like more of a curiosity than something that would be very useful.

Check out other sources on the web its a skill worth learning IMO.

It is math derived from the ancient Vedas.
