That thing must make some grunting noises as it lifts off. I think I might grunt along with it, if I were a passenger.

how many were made?

I seem to remember they are pretty rare.... anyone have an idea how many were made? I saw one once at the Newark airport, they are just huge.

It looks like the reverse thruster on the starboard side is stuck in the 'on' position when it is taxing.

Neat plane. Never seen one but the vid was very cool.

That plane is a semi-regular visitor to Houston. I have never seen it in flight personally. I missed its departure once by mere minutes. Boy was I miffed that day! That's the largest plane ever made, and is the only AN225 ever made, I think the second one is still in production. It's bigger than the A380 (contrary to what some will tell you).

Excellent video.

It would look to me that this one with the license number UR-82060, and the flag on its tail, is actually from the Ukraine (not Russia).

16 wheels on each side of it!!! I have never seen anything like that.
It must be like flying - and landing - the Winter Palace (fully staffed!)
