Cool. What are you driving over there?
Had a Polish colleague move back to Poland a couple of years ago. She's not very happy there. Her speciality is Feminist Philosophy and from what I gather it is difficult to find people sympathetic to her point of view. What's your take on the state of Poland?

I'd wager a fair number of the W123 cars in Poland were stolen, in Germany, where they were later written off as insurance theft losses.

Spent a lot of time yesterday (Warsaw-Krakow-Warsaw) behind the one on the left:

And, we drove to Auschwitz in Janusz' sister's Polo.

Even at <2Deg C, the short skirts and tight pants are the thing so, I'd say that Feminisim hasn't made it's mark here yet. Otherwise, it seems like they're still trying to figure out how to conduct their life in a post-communist world. It reminds me of China in that they're trying to figure out capitalisim.

I saw that Ponton, too, and my reaction was: good lord, what a police magnet! A rolling advert for drink driving, if ever there was one. (Maybe not so, over in Poland though. They drink a LOT of Vodka over there, it is a national pestilence.)

I think we need a pic or two to confirm your astute observation.

Just got in from Vienna...left there at 6:50 am local time this am (11:50 pm CST).

There's not a W123 to be found in the old city...the oldest MBZ were 124 taxis. I'll post pics that I took later.
