Looking for 30 X 40 X 12 Metal gargage plans.

.

I have been searching high and low for plans to build a garage.
Just a drawing or two and a parts list.

Found lots of plans for wood frame, but not much for steel.

Anyone have any ?
Know where to get them ?

Thank You

Why do you want to build from steel? It seems likely that it will be pretty expensive now, with the price of steel these days.

Rich, Monday we picked up a 30x40x12 with one roll up and two walk thru doors. Total was $5380 including tax from J&I in Madill, OK.

I'm seriously thinking about using the steel roof truss they have for the house. Don't really want to live in a metal box...but the price of their building is tempting.

The post are 3x3" 11ga, sheet is 26ga panels. All fasteners, trim and formed gusset plates included.
I thought it was a decent price.

They have this huge showroom loaded with trailer stuff, tools, welders, fence supplys, tires, paint... I spent at least an hr walking around looking at it all.

Tab's dad pulled a 40 foot flatbed up from Baton Rouge, picked up the 30x40 and drove back and still came out spending less than he was quoted there.
I had know idea the place existed 'till then.

Do they have a web site? I would be interested in seeing how it is constructed.

That looks like a decent price.

Tom, There's not much info re the buildings on their site.

From what I gather (I just went along for the ride but ended helping load) the building consist of 3x3" 11ga post and headers with 3" C purlins 4' OC on the walls and 3' OC on the roof. Post are placed 10' oc.
They included what looked to be a 8x8x1/4" plate with about six "J" rods welded to place in the concrete. The post will be welded to these anchor plates. Gussets were maybe 3/16" thick triangle pieces that had been formed on two sides to fit over the post and the truss.
The trusses had a 2/12 pitch made of 1 1/2x3" 14ga tubing and are placed 10' oc.
There was a 2 7/8" pipe option for the post that would be placed in 4' deep pier holes.

The frame is all weld up. Siding and roof panels use self drilling/tapping hex screws. Foam seals were also included as well as mastic strips to seal the panel edges.
