Chinese cars are safe!

To hit in your Mercedes!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F06LjugtIUo&feature=related

Now that car would make a damn fine crumple zone!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBl22idhC2s&feature=related
This is how its supposed to work.

S class VS Smart
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02eghIfyHP0

I'd rather be in the S, the Smart bounced like a soccar ball!

The S class is just the best car in the world, period. (non sports car)

Chinese cars are safe enough to die in!

That thing makes a Smart look like a W140 in terms of safety.

I think that the Smart performed very well for a car of its size, but it still could not defeat one of the nastier laws of physics: If two objects collide, the object with less mass will decelerate more quickly.

For that car to fold up like that is nothing short of criminal. Watch the A pillar and rocker panels fold.

Do the MacPherson Strut!

Makes me wonder if the cars have enough metal/structure to stand up to four or five saltbelt winters. It's always a downer to hit a pothole and have a MacPherson strut strut through a rusty strut tower.

I remember our first Hyundai. The spot welds in the front lower structure had all come apart. We refused to repair the car and the insurance company totaled it.
