Evel died
Evel Kenevel died. I just saw that when I was checking my mail. There was an icon for dare-devilry and self-promotion.

I just saw that, too...
For a guy that easily could have ended up in prison his whole life he made the most out of what he had to work with. |
He was kind of like the James Brown of motor cycle stunts, especially with those flashy capes.
|
I heard it on the radio 1/2 hour ago, that guy was one crazy mo-fo. Tough as nails...
|
A monumental passing for sure. He was an American Icon that won't be surpassed in the near future.

I remember when I was a teenager in the late 70's we would imitate Evel on our bicycles.
We would make wooden ramps and do jumps. Often we would make the little kids on our street lie down in front of the ramps and we would jump over them:) |
Here's a few pics I snapped of Evel back in March at his son Robby's jump in Raleigh...

Wow that sucks! Truely an American icon.
