When I was growing up, we had an old Zenith or something like that. I think it lasted from my pre-teens until long after I had grown up an left home. Mom and Dad's refrigerator was still running when they gave it away after thirty years. I've been through three refrigerators, and at least that many TV's since I've lived in this house (13 years)!

They really DON'T make things like they used to!

That's pretty much where I am at the good LCD's are @ $3600 for a 60" so I may pull the trigger after the holiday clearance. OTOH, in the country we don't watch much TV anymore so an investment in outdoor toys maybe more appropriate OTOH, I'm in Michigan so we spend 4 months captive to the fireplace or TV, XBOX, ect ect.

Maybe a toboggan run hmmmmm

I have a 17in LCD moniter for my computer that is probably similer to the LCD TV's. I watch TV on it more than on the regular TV because the picture quality is so good.

If I can't sail it, drive it or shoot it, why would I want it? RT

I pretty much feel the same way, but can answer for myself with three words: Wife and Kids.

Two more words: Hockey and Football. American-style, please.

And who told you that you couldn't shoot it?

That would be shooting AT it. Entirely different however I would do that too if I didn't have to pay for it! RT
