1997 c230 noisy heater fan
 

How do I access the heater fan on a '97 c230? Can I lube any bearings or do I have to replace the whole thing. It's making a horrible whine on the "feet" (down arrow) and "chest" settings; but not in the up arrow and defrost settings. Any ideas?
