Starting.
I am here, and your neighbor too.
Whatever became of that sheet signed on 01/21/07 that had this information, that was contained the names phoes and email addies of about 30 people, from the Marin County based "NorCal Diesel Drive"? What ever happened to that sheet of paper? It is the key. Sixto, Cuban Diesel, Dieselchatter, Nik, Garrett, Will, Unkl300D, Prez (Eric) Frankie, Zack, Nate, Terry, (Charlie's84380SE wants to come up frm SoCal) , LuvLaw, Jeremy 5848, GreasyBenz, Diametrical Benz would be interested, are handful of people you would need to contact, thinking off the to of my head. Of course, you can pull up the old Diesel discussion threads about the Nor Cal Diesel Drive, and get names off those too. Never too soon to start thinking about what to do next, and where and when, and to complie a master list, like this. I do like the idea of a non-sticky "corner" somewhere here, maybe the mods might permit one that covers ALL forum sections, SL, Tech, Diesel, OD all of them. Diesel is the biggest well, but remember many of them say "FIRST DEAD" before going to look here in OD for anything. Don't forget to troll around over in benzworld, especially in the W123, W124 and W126 sections, plenty of people around there. You could probably make the next one HUGE if you wanted to. There is a lot of interest, and even there are a couple of folks overt in Reno that might be interested.s It is going to work better if YOU parse them ALL out, rather than to ask them to look here, or come to you, or even in some sticky which you probably won't get at least on the Diesel Discussion, because the moderator SPECIFICALLY told me he won't "sticky" anything UNLESS/UNTIL a firm date is set - and he had that policy because he had a mess when no dates were set, and things went south, or nobody could agree on a date, or plans fell through, it botched things up, made him look foolsih also. I think his statement made good sense, actually. I am all for your idea, it is a good one. Your orgaizational skills are excellent, as are Nate's and Zack's especially, your enthusiasm is phenomenal and contagious, and the computers link it all together well. Naturally gathering everyone together on the same page, is like shooting a at a constantly fast moving target. So are the cars themselves, they are being updated, bought and sold. Always much new to see, learn, and do at these. It can be done. Worth it, too.
