OK - I live in Central America and I need to get a new TV cause mine broke over the holiday weekend. Problem: After the holidays and wanting to purchase a new house early this year do not want to spend major coin on a TV right now. Here in Central America, there are so many different brands of cheap TV's, i.e. Majestic and then I saw Ultra at a Radio Shack. Now, as for its components, are there not a small amount of producers? And basically many brands just buy the components and assemble? i.e. Read an article that LG/Phillips produced 23% of all LCD Screens for televisions in 2006. So, question is where can I find information on what brands manufactuer where and so forth.
