A/C manifold gauges

Is there a way to zero out the low side gauge? Mine is sitting at the 80 mark. It's a r-12 gauge by the way.

It depends on your set. Look and see if there is a small screw on the gauge face and you are able to unscrew the glass face and barrel. The screw adjusts the needle value.

I would question it's accuracy if you adjust from 80!
That adjustmant is meant o be +/- a few pounds not 80.

Is there anything making the needle stick?

Has it been dropped? I dropped one of my gauges once and the needle wasn't centered afterward, so I pitched it. No sense keeping a gauge if you can't trust it...

If you have a regulator valve on a compressor hook up the gauge set to a known pressure and adjust from there. If it doesn't adjust its probably toast.
