I drove a friends Plymoth Valiant with the push button tranny. I don't know how they did the linkage. It was like the old station selectors on car radios. Just push in the button for the 'gear' you wanted. I remember the buttons on the dash on the left side of the steering wheel.

Coming up as a child of the 80s, I'd rather have the 600.
