Don't shoot me, I'm a huge Da Vinci fan but the Mona Lisa is my least favorite Da Vinci painting.

But thanks for posting Mistress

How about that fresco attributed to da Vinci that was uncovered just recently in a space that was previously closed up. The building was supposed to have been his workshop at one time.

"Notes from the Overground"

....relates a Postcard message from a couple from the Midwest United States who saw the Mona Lisa painting at the Louvre while on vacation in Paris:

"We saw the Mona Lisa, at the Louvre, and it was lovely. But we had to walk through a whole bunch of other rooms with paintings on the walls to get to it.

I was all hyped up to see the MonaLisa and when I saw it I was like "That's it?" It's so tiny.

I had the same reaction when I saw one of the first color photographs ever taken of the "Flat Iron" building in New York. I expected this 8X 10 image and it was only 4X4...
