The Past Week or Two Have Sucked Somewhat

I usually don't share much personal info here but I've made a lot of friends so I'll share a bit of my life from the past two weeks:

Favorite Uncle passed away and had to drive to North PA last week. Took the Grease Car with no probs. Met a lot of relatives I haven't seen in 40 years and some I've never met. I knew my cousin was the kid in the movie "Old Yeller", but didn't know another cousin wrote the song "Mr Sandman". Big Irish Wake and got to taste some really good Irish Whiskey.

Arrived back last Friday in time to have surgery on my eye socket to have cyst removed (GROSS!!!). They removed the stitches today. Still hurts like hell.

Found out a total excuse for a human is coming back to work in my division, was assured that there would be no bloodshed between he and I.

On the bright side, sold my 380SL to make room for the 560SL I just purchased from a forum member here. Johnhef and I are making plans for a road trip to go pick it up.

Besides that, not much going on. Time for a GTG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear of your loss. It does sound like some good did come of it, with the family get together. Would have been nice if it were for different reasons though, I’m sure.

Hope the surgery fixes any issues. Eye problems are a major PITA.

Can’t say much, other than the guy coming back to work with you has to suck. Just do your thing and ignore them as much as possible I guess.

Congrats on the sale and purchase. Have a safe trip picking it up.

Again – Sorry for your loss.

You are one of the kindest and most highly regarded people on here, Kevin, and I feel bad that life's been difficult for you lately.

It's especially tough to deal with the death of a loved one, I know that.

Hang in there, guy, there are good things ahead for you coming. Life deals you unexpected good hits now and then, and I hope to look forward to hearing about some of those. You are due for some!!

The good thing is that nothing lasts forever, including bad times. Hope they end soon for you, Kevin.

Thanks for all the kind words. It's really nice to have friends especially the ones here that I've had the privilege of meeting. Hope to meet you all someday.

PP- Sorry to hear about your loss.

Hope your eye is better by the time you read this...

On the bright side, sounds like your getting a sweet 560.

One day, I will make a trip to the east coast just to hang out with the Virginia group of people... They seem like a cool group of people.

Sorry to hear about your last couple weeks, definitely on the sucky side.
Hope your eye feels better soon, I can't even begin to imagine what that must be like.

At least you'll have a new 560 to turn your attention to.
