Q: Does the car have a stick or automatic? :-)
A: Actually I made a mistake in the original article - the car has a 21-speed dual detailer Shimanno gear-set grafted off a 22" Huffy mountain bike I had lying around. Take that Mercedes!
Definitely 1994 technology...my mountain bike has a 27-speed Shimano drivetrain.

This is the most amusing ad that I have read in a long time!

I am not going to accept checks from Nigeria or boxes of pizza as payment options. I am not going to give you a payment plan on a $1600 car. American dollars are acceptable though. If you are a hot female maybe we can work something else out.

Stupid questons get stupid answers!

Q: You say the car "handles as well as any other 3400lb sedan"... ever heard of a BMW M5?
A: This car would rape a BMW M5, make it conceive it's illegitimate bastard child (ever seen an Infinity Q45?) and then dump its mother's lifeless carcass in a gutter. Afterwards, it would smoke a cigarette and laugh about it later to all it's SHO friends.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

A friend of mine had a ford contour from around the same time- it was some sort of special edition souped up countour- SVT or something? I'm not sure it would have done much against an M5, but it was a serious sleeper and really hauled a$$.

The reading of this is hilarious. This guy could be a sitcom writer.

Yes but many of those gears overlap.

That Yamaha engine installed in that car is pretty nice, and the rest of the drive train was pretty good too. Too bad the rest of the car was so boring.

Seems like a decent car for the price, with the novelty of a manual transmission. I think manual Tauri are few and far between.

This is the best part (from a Landlord who's waited hours and hours and hours...........):

If you call me to set up an appointment to see the car, please do one of these 3 things:
a. Show up.
b. Call me to tell me you are not coming if you are not coming.
c.Castrate yourself with a cheese grater and do Darwin a favor. I do have other things to do occasionally.

I had a '90 SHO... the lightest were the '89s, but they had fugly dashboards and no ABS, as I recall. The '90 was the next best thing... later generations got heavier. It was a great car. The 5 speeds were a weak link, but a few companies offered upgrades. The Yamaha was amazing in the higher revs, but the car was hard to launch -- it would bog easy. From a running start, though, they are very, very quick cars. I put Tokico suspension with SHO Shop linear rate springs on mine and it rode fine.
