Political threads, please read.

Now that it’s an election year again, my memory drifts back to 2004 when this forum went, nuts with political threads. So I reserve the right to prune them if they become to numerous or if I feel the OP's are just trying to stir the pot. If one becomes rather long I'll wait until it gets pointless to lock it; I will try my best not to kill a fruitful discussion.

I will try to keep my intervention to a minimum, but don't be surprised when you see some get locked.
