So I'm looking for a car for my Mom ...

She's tired of her C230 but wants a peppy car with a stanard tranny.

Think she might go for this?

I had the pleasure of driving a GT (albeit short) when I lived in Madtown, WI. Not very well crafter for a 6-figure car.

She HATES those kind of cars. the last car she really loved as a 1980's Challenger (Mitsubishi). It was electro-mechanical rather than electronic. She likes rolling-up windows herself and shifting gears herself. This is why she was never truly happy with her C230, though she did like the acceleration when dropped into 3rd at 50 or 60 mph.

Oh yeah, in an email Friday she said she wants a car with pep. Doesn't want to have to wait for it to accelerate, especially at highway speeds. She doesn't want a 4-door because she hates carpooling other people. She likes the hatchback design.

If GM had the Solstice in a coupe/turbo!

Got to me serviced at a local dealer only --- GM, Ford, Chrysler. None of those furriners are in her home town. She got tired of taking her car 60 miles for warranty and service work. Never again.

So it's gotta be the big 3.

2008 Chrysler Sebring convertable with possibly the hardtop option. A bit pricey, but a decent coupe with good performance and decent ride.
