one-touch turn signal and cupholder Question

What was the first year, make and model that MB oferred the nifty one-touch turn signal?

What was the first year, make and model that got a cupholder?

The W210 had the first real cup holder right? My W126 technically has them on the backside of the glove box door. But they are not ment to actualy be used.

They're not meant to be used?! Man, that must be why beer weeps from my glovebox when I close it :P

The turn signal depends on the model.

My 1998 ML320 has it, my 2002 G500 has it.

The 2000 SL500 we tested didnt have it.

Cupholders...

My 1996 SL600 has them. My G500 has them. MY ML320 had them..

Talk about a waste of good beer! Honest officer I just spilled it!:D

MB's are difficult cars to drink in while driving, but my at the time 78 year old Grandfather figured it out. We were working on the boat and needed something so he took my SDL up to West Marine to pick it up, and on the way back decided to grab some brews. At the time I was 19, go Grandpa!:D:cool: Anyway I look up when I hear my car coming and I see him driving with an open Bud can in his hand hanging out the window.:D I was like thats illegal, he said bah back in my day we did it all the time.:D

So when your having a brew and driving your MB just hang it out the window or rest it on the window sill, its all good.:D

Calling that thing a "real cup holder" is an injustice to all real cup holders in existence. It works just well enough to spill coffee into the shifter mechanism.

Little history on bad cupholders I've had...

`82 f150, had the 1/16" tall ring on the backside of the glovebox. Never worked unless you where stationary, perfectly leval, and didnt move in the truck...

89 olds toronado... Had a cupholder that was on a revolving triangle (one side holder, another change holder, another was flat plastic). If you braked less then 1/2 of a mile before your stop, the triangle would revolve untill it dumped your drink into the shifter compartment. Inside that compartment was the seat air bag relays, and on the VIC equipped ones, a $1500 computer that is impossible to find theese days.

95 escort... 2 full size cup holders right infrount of the shifter, under the ashtray. Only fit the small fast food size cups, and no pop cans. If the cup was more then 1/2 full, it'd tip on EVERY shift...

76 Mercedes, no cup holders
90 geo tracker... no cup holders

95 tracker, two on the center tunnel. They're perfect;p

Cup holders, meh...

If you need a cup-holder, get a girlfriend.

I got one of them too.... No cupholders, but I do not allow food or drink into the car.

No, but if you have those what do your parents drive?

Botnst 02-21-2008 09:11 PM

If that was my family I'd be walking to my second job.

The cup holder in my 1999 E300 is crap! But, then I do not care about @$%^#$^ cup holders. I don't drive a Mercedes to hold a drink.
If you want a cup hold buy a @#$% Suburban. You can not appreciate the drive beauty of a W108 with one hand on a 1/2 gallon drink. (stop it...I will go on my rage against the mainstream American driver mentality)

Sorry for highjacking....
one touch turn signal. What is that? On my friends 1967 250SE you can not feel the turn signal engage. You just move it a bit and they are working. It is an intoxicating car, but then that is my my friend calls it the 'Magic Carpet Ride'.:D I WANT THIS CAR!
