Naked Foursome Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run Accident
Wednesday, February 27, 2008 8:03:08 AM

ORLANDO -- Authorities think weather could be to blame for a hit-and-run rollover crash early Wednesday morning.

Police said that around midnight a motorcyclist was driving on State Road 408 in Orlando in the pouring rain without lights.

A sport utility vehicle slammed on its brakes, trying to avoid the motorcycle, causing the SUV to hit the guardrail and flip over.

Authorities said the driver of the motorcycle drove off, meaning that driver could face charges of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries if he or she is found. Police do not have a description of the motorcycle.

Three men and one woman were rushed to a hospital.

The woman is in critical condition. There is no word yet on the condition of the three men.

In an odd twist to the story, all four people inside the car were either naked, or semi-naked.

S.R. 408 was closed down until the SUV was turned over and cleared off the road.

Mama always said, make sure you wear your (clean) underwear. You never know when you might end up in the hospital.

I tried really hard to think of something funny to write here, but nothing came to mind. . . . . Isn't life funny all by itself?

Vacationland is Maine.

Orlando is better known as Hell. The last time I was there, I was retrieving my sister and her fiance from a family vacation to take them to Ormond Beach to visit my great uncle. I drove the 85 300TD down from Atlanta and spent the night with my sister's in-laws at a hotel in Orlando. They insisted on taking us out to dinner, and insisted on taking only one car (300M rental boat). After dinner, at a crummy chain, they decided to stop in to the local Wal-Mart to collect some sunscreen and other sundries. They could have been filming "The Fast and the Furious" in the parking lot. There was garbage everywhere. I didn't see one redeeming feature of Orlando while there. I've been in the past and was sequestered in the theme parks, which was an insidious tempting hell, but hell nonetheless.

Maine, on the other hand - that's a destination worthy of a vacation.
