Miles, Bloomfield, and the Electric Flag.
Oh man, that is too bad, another loss fro great era.
I remember "Electric Flag" too from college On one album, one cut opens with a speech from Lyndon Johnson saying, "I come here tonight for the peace of all mankind," which is interrupted by a huge electiric guitar riff, simultaneous with a laugh track of all these people laughing, at him, just before the song starts. Anybody remember that? I would really like to hear it on Youtube, (I have not heard it since about 1969!!) but can't do it without the name of the track.

I knew he played with Hendrix and his dad back in the day.....but I completely forgot he sang for the California Raisins.
The man could play/sing/write - no doubt about it.
