Replace engine 123 280 to 300d or 240d
Somebody is selling a 123 1979 body with 240d tranny. Is it ok to buy a 300d 617 engine and fit it with a 240d tranny. If so, how difficult is it?
Another option: somebody is selling a 280e 1980 123 body euro version. I can get a 300d engine or a 200d engine with tranny. Is this also feasible? How difficult? also can I fit a mercedes engine to my toyota crown? The toyota consumes a lot of gas 1 liter is to 4 kms! Thanks!! _________________ 79' 300d auto 79' 300d manual 89' crown manula |

I think the 240 tranny will work with a 617 if not turbo.
The mercedes engine will fit the toyota but I don't know how much $ you will have to spend to do it. Tom W

How about the 280 123 body? If I am going to replace it with a 300d 79 model engine, would the engine support be the same even the holes for the tranny?
