New guy here 93 300 D 2.5 turbo Diesel

Hi, new guy here.

New to the site, but not new to forums .

I just bought my first Mercedes-Benz a few day ago. It's a 93 300 D 2.5 turbo diesel with 176,000 miles and it runs fantastic .

I do all mechanical work on my own vehicles, but i must admit i'm new to diesel's, turbo's and bavarian automobiles in general, and i'm quite intimidated by this car.

But, i'm looking forward to learning as much as possible about this little car .

You have us confused with the Bayerische Mist Wagen.

We are Stuttgartian!

Oh..............welcome.

It's a great car, if you like Diesel passenger cars. It should be pretty reliable. Keep it running!

Stuttgart is the capital of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Don't be - once you start wrenching on it you will see the engineering in the car.

Welcome! Later this afternoon I'm going to buy a 1995 300D. Are you interested in alternative fuels for it? The Diesel forum has a very active constituency in that regard. Use the search function over there. Most anything you want to ask has been already asked and sometimes answered and argued over many days, even months.

To be a huge hit, start a thread on oil or fuel additives, hah! (No, don't do that! It drives everybody into an uproar.)

Oh i know how the forums work . I've seen newbies get slaughtered for asking the same commonly asked questions before reading stickies and always search, search, search first !!

I'm deffinately interested in alternative fuels for this car .

Yeah, we've had a down year in sports across the board. (Did manage to win our bowl game though.)
Gotta ask, did you graduate from or attend OU (or your spouse or kids)? If so, I'll good-naturedly trade jibes with a worthy counterpart. But we'd have to do another thread unless Glowplug has a particular loyalty he/she would like to express.

I graduated from OU, was there during Bud's early years but I don't know about the "worthy counterpart" part.

BTW, I neglected to place a at the end of previous post. "Good-natured" jibes are "in".

It's all these texans we've got to be concerned with. J/K, guys.
