Got a New Ride

After months of “what coupe to get” for me, with possibilities from 560SEC, early 90’s CLs, CLK430, etc., I opted for a family vehicle – E class – specifically 2005 E500 4Matic - bought on my wife’s birthday no less, and with a big red ribbon for her. (I’ve learned my family politics.).

One owner, just under 10K miles, CPO from MB dealer, with 2 extra years of warranty – so it will be under warranty for another 4 more years.

Color is Capri Blue (dark blue metallic) over Ash – not my first choice, but I decided to go with the best low mileage vehicle I could find that wasn’t black or white. Bought over the phone without pictures, and saw it for the first time yesterday when we picked it up.

I’ll have driving impressions shortly, but enclose a few pics for now.

First family sedan for me since the 70’s….

You know you're getting old when practicality trumps fun.

That's a beautiful car and only 10k miles, no wonder it looks brand new. You were so lucky, all over the phone and no photos. What a great experience you had, you made a good choice!

Excellent looking car. I am sure it will be very very nice to drive. I love that color, too.

Does your WIFE get to drive the car you bought on HER birthday?

Is that YOUR garage? That's sweet! At first glance I was distracted by the car . . .
